Salah satu langkah yang dilakukan yakni melalui peremajaan bantalan rel pada sejumlah jembatan kereta api di wilayah Sumatera Utara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manager Humas KAI Divre I Sumut, M. As\u2019ad Habibuddin, menjelaskan bahwa sepanjang tahun 2025 KAI Divre I Sumut telah melakukan peremajaan sebanyak 1.363 batang bantalan rel, yang terdiri dari pemasangan 913 batang bantalan sintetis dan peremajaan (cascading) 450 batang bantalan kayu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMenjelang masa angkutan Nataru, kami memastikan seluruh jalur dan perangkat prasarana berada dalam kondisi terbaik agar perjalanan pelanggan tetap aman dan lancar,\u201d ujar As\u2019ad, rabu (5\/11\/2025)sore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ia menambahkan, pekerjaan penggantian bantalan rel ini merupakan bagian dari upaya peningkatan keandalan infrastruktur perkeretaapian guna menjaga keselamatan perjalanan serta langkah antisipatif untuk meminimalkan potensi gangguan operasional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adapun beberapa lokasi pekerjaan mencakup lintas Araskabu, Tebing Tinggi, Perlanaan, Sei Bejangkar, Kisaran, Mambang Muda, Rantau Prapat, Binjai, Tanjung Gading, dan sejumlah titik lainnya. Seluruh pekerjaan dilakukan secara bertahap tanpa mengganggu jadwal perjalanan kereta api dan diawasi ketat oleh tim teknik prasarana serta keselamatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bantalan rel memiliki peranan penting dalam menjamin keselamatan perjalanan kereta api, antara lain menjaga kestabilan lebar rel, meredam getaran dan suara, menjaga keseimbangan jalur, serta mendistribusikan beban kereta ke tanah agar tidak terjadi kerusakan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAspek keselamatan selalu menjadi prioritas utama kami. Karena itu, KAI Divre I Sumut secara rutin melakukan inspeksi dan pemeliharaan berkala terhadap jalur rel dan sistem persinyalan sebagai bagian dari sistem manajemen keselamatan yang
