Sebelum penandatanganan persetujuan dilakukan, rapat paripurna diawali dengan penyampaian laporan panitia khusus (pansus) serta pendapat seluruh fraksi di DPRD Medan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Persetujuan ditandai dengan penandatangan\/pengambilan keputusan bersama antara Pimpinan DPRD dengan Kepala Daerah Kota Medan. Penandatanganan dilakukan Ketua DPRD Medan Hasyim SE dan Pelaksana tugas (Plt) Wali Kota Medan Ir H Akhyar Nasution MSi serta disaksikan para wakil ketua dan Sekda Kota Medan Ir Wiriya Alrahman MM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Dikatakan Plt Wali Kota, hal tersebut dapat terlaksana atas kerjasama yang baik dan rasa tanggung jawab bersama antara pihak eksekutif dan legislatif selaku mitra kerja. Dengan harapan dan tujuan, membangun jalannya roda pemerintahan sekaligus mewujudkan dan melaksanakan aspirasi masyarakat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&#8220;Sesuai dengan pasal 331 ayat 1,2,3 dan 4 UU No.23\/2014 tentang pemerintahan daerah menyatakan bahwa daerah dapat mendirikan BUMD. Lalu, pendirian BUMD sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat 1 ditetapkan dengan Perda. Kemudian, BUMD sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat 1 terdiri atas perusahaan umum daerah dan perusahaan perseroan daerah serta pendirian BUMD sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat 1,&#8221; kata Akhyar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Maka, untuk menindaklanjuti ketentuan Pasal 331 ayat 2 UU No.23\/2014, DPRD Medan dan Pemko Medan menyetujui dan mensahkan Ranperda tersebut menjadi Perda. Harapannya, dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat termasuk dalam perkembangan perekonomian daerah, menyelenggarakan kemanfaatan umum berupa penyedia barang dan atau jasa yang bermutu bagi pemenuhan hajat hidup masyarakat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&#8220;Kehadiran perusahaan umum daerah Kota Medan diharapkan dapat membantu dan menunjang kebijakan umum pemerintah daerah serta mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat khususnya dalam penyediaan dan peningkatan sarana berbagai bidang usaha. Lalu, meningkatkan pelayanan umum, meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan umum daerah serta meningkatkan pendapatan asli daerah (PAD),&#8221; harapnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Guna mencapai hal tersebut, jelas Akhyar, perusahaan umum daerah Kota Medan harus dikelola secara profesional, efisien, transparan, mandiri, akuntabel dan bertanggung jawab. &#8220;Kepada semua pihak yang terlibat, kami mengucapkan terima kasih. Selanjutnya hasil persetujuan ini akan kami sampaikan kepada Gubernur Sumut untuk selanjutnya difasilitasi sekaligus mendapatkan nomor registrasi kemudian ditetapkan dan diundangkan dalam lembaran daerah Kota Medan,&#8221;
